Charlie Owen
Owner & Founder
Charlie Owen founded Owen Development Group in 2021 with a clear vision: deliver comprehensive site solutions that developers can trust. With over 15 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, Charlie leads every project with the kind of expertise you can only gain from years in the field.
A University of Florida graduate with a degree in Building Construction, Charlie honed his skills as a Project Manager at DiMare Construction and North Coast Construction before launching Owen Development Group. He saw an opportunity to do things differently—to build a firm that prioritizes proactive collaboration and seamless integration with every stakeholder on a project.
Under Charlie's leadership, Owen Development Group specializes in transforming challenging terrains into resilient foundations through meticulous grading, utility installations, and stormwater management. His philosophy is straightforward: anticipate problems before they happen, communicate clearly with everyone involved, and deliver sites that are ready to build on without surprises.
As a Florida native, Charlie brings deep local knowledge to every project. He understands the regulatory complexities of working in Northeast Florida, from SJRWMD permitting to Florida Building Code compliance. That local expertise means faster approvals, fewer delays, and solutions that work with the land, not against it.
When he's not on-site, you'll find Charlie coaching youth sports, playing golf, fishing, or mentoring the next generation of construction professionals. He's building more than projects—he's building community.
